Loiyangalani

One of our key locations during filming was in Loiyangalani, an isolated community sandwiched between Lake Turkana and the Chalbi Desert, and one of the hottest places in Africa. This was the area where Ralph Fiennes character JUSTIN QUAYLE meets Dr LORBEER played by Pete Postlethwaite. This area suffers on many levels due to the extreme arid environment and its remote location.
